Key responsibilities

Insurance consultants work in project teams or individually and support the Senior Consultants to be jointly responsible for:
  • Maintenance of our clients’ insurance programmes
  • Understanding clients’ corporate objectives and risk culture in order to ensure that their insurance programmes are consistent with their needs
  • Liaising with insurance service providers, including insurance brokers, regarding all aspects of insurance, including programme design, placement, and claims
  • Developing and implementing insurance frameworks and strategies
  • Reviewing complex insurance arrangements and undertaking analytical reviews to support insurance program enhancements and structural recommendations
  • Supporting the implementation of recommended insurance program modifications or enhancements

A large focus of this position will be to manage and maintain general insurance programmes on behalf of our clients while maintaining a commercial focus.

About you

To be considered for this position you should be an enthusiastic self-starter with a personal ethic to provide a high level of service to our clients. You should have the confidence to work individually with initiative while being equally comfortable working within a team environment.

You should have excellent insurance technical skills on all classes of insurance with a minimum of 5 years industry experience working in general insurance in either a corporate, broking or insurer background. You should also have established communication and presentation skills with a desire to think outside the box.

Tertiary education and/or professional qualifications in general insurance and/or risk management are highly desirable.
